New Nissan Rogue

The new Nissan Rogue brings an upgrade in the looks department, features list, and overall performance. Immediately upon looking at the new and improved Rogue you see a redesigned exterior that cues you to the sleek design of elegance and a modern touch of class while maintaining the sport that makes it a SUV. It is essentially the quintessential crossover. When you take a look around the inside and sit down in the driver’s seat you get a sense of just how organized and great looking the interior is. Everything about the new Rogue is of the highest quality and it makes it one of the best SUVs of 2016, there’s no question about it.

What about Performance?

The 2.5 liter four cylinder engine is powered by the continuously variable transmission that Nissan injects into all of its vehicles. They do this for one simple reason, it performs well. Very well. Throw in the fact that it has 170 horsepower and you’ll see a vehicle that will be able to please any potential buyer. You have nothing to worry about in the performance department as it will be able to reliably do so for a long time to come.

What About Features?

Oh it’s got plenty of them. In fact what you can do with the Rogue will seem endless, and is that ever a bad thing? For radio and the audio system you have AM/FM/CD audio with a USB connection. It comes standard with Bluetooth connectivity and satellite radio. It also has Siri eyes free to keep you concentrated on the road, as well as voice recognition, traffic weather and trail services that are powered by the satellite connection all on a 7-inch touchscreen display.

As for other features it has an around view monitor, a power driver’s seat, pushbutton start, and Nissan connect. With Nissan connect you’ll be able to connect apps like Pandora, Spotify, and a ton of others that will make everything about the infotainment system customizable. There are certain features that are only available to certain trims that the Rogue has. So now would be a good time to discover what the different types of trims are so you can see what comes unique to each one of those.

There are three types of trims available. You have the basic S, the middle of the pack SV and the premium model in the SL. Now like I said you’ll have different features available with each level of trim. For instance with the basic model S you’ll have power windows, lock and mirrors, as well as 17-inch wheels but when you step up to the premium models that’s when it really gets fun. It all depends on your budget.

The SL is the one that is most packed with features and packages. For starters you have a bigger 18-inch wheel, heated seats, a leather upholstery upgrade, navigation, and an upgraded sound system with a Bose system installed. Now where it gets to be more of a luxury SUV is in the packages available. The Premium Package comes with an added panoramic sunroof, forward collision warning, blind spot warning system, LED headlights, and a moving object detection system. The last system helps to prevent accidents that you might not have enough time to react to, but Nissan has you covered with that.

The SL is definitely one of the best SUVs on the road because of all the features thrown in. Nissan didn’t let any stone stayed unturned. They were designing and engineering this vehicle. It’s most evident with the performance, great fuel efficiency, and features that can satisfy anyone. Not only is it one of the best SUVs on the road but it also is one of the safest.

Safety Features and Scores

There is a certain expectation with SUVs that they will be reliable and safe for families. Nissan knows this and they took care in maintaining that expectation. Because not only does it perform well, it is safe too. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety put it through their normal rigorous testing and it came out on top earning a top safety pick for 2016. This means that it earned a ‘good’ in all of the categories which is the best it can do. Now the government testing led to the same results with it being rated one of the best. In both tests it compares very well to its competition.

If that isn’t enough to show you how safe it is than let’s take a look at some features that help to aid in its safe ratings. You’ll find airbags all around the inside, stability control, collision warning, and blind spot monitors. And something they installed called the Nissan Easy Fill Tire Alert which gives you another pair of eyes on tires to make sure you never run into the unexpected flat on the highway or in unfamiliar territories. There are also other features such as the Around View Monitor, forward collision warning, and lane departure warning system. All and all you’ll find that Nissan has made Rogue one of the most reliable vehicles on the road.

You just need to find a way to take a test drive today. And wouldn’t you know it, Kenny Ross Nissan is more than accommodating. Just stop in one of their showrooms in Zelienople, Butler, Elwood city, Beaver, Cranberry Township, and Pittsburgh and you’ll find some of the best in the business.
